Client Update

 

Always working ahead to provide clients and producers with the solutions they require, we congratulate The Co-operators on their latest series of accomplishments.  Since our last report, The Co-operators has been forging ahead on their Life Illustration projects and has signed off on version 2.23 in September 2006, version 2.30 in January 2007 and version 2.40 just recently this July.  A setback was experienced by the team due to an issue created by a Microsoft security update in the fall, but that has since been completely rectified.  
 
Additionally, The Co-operators upgraded to version 1.10 of the Investment Illustrator.  The release included enhancements to the withholding tax calculation, inflation calculations, report changes, an upgraded installation process and also legislative changes as part of the March Federal Budget.
 
Finally, we have been working with The Co-operators for some time on their Concepts Solution.  The Concepts Solution was originally developed to showcase four different sales concepts for the producer to show to clients in a storyboard format.  The July 2007 release of both the Estate Protection and Family Protection adds inputs, calculations and reports.  Work has begun on providing additional concepts over the next year.

Since illustrate inc assumed all illustration support for CUMIS, we have been working together with CUMIS to implement the illustrate inc life software for all their individual life products.
 
Congratulation goes out to CUMIS Group on their recent successful release of Version 2.10 of their Life Software, including a T100 Joint Last to Die product.  Much like The Co-operators, the CUMIS team also faced difficulties brought on by the Microsoft security update which has been successfully addressed.

Over our long-term relationship with Empire Life, we have been fortunate enough to be able to collaborate in a number of unique projects.  Most recently, we assisted in the development of Phase 1 of Strategies as part of their Financial and Estate Planning Strategies.  This is a stand alone concept engine built on existing engines and business applications.

Empire Life has also been focused on the delivery of an upgraded version of their Investment Illustrator solution.  Version 8.0 has been signed off to include the new report engine, new maximums for Life Income Fund (LIF), legislative maintenance and several input enhancements.

And finally, Empire’s Envision solution for life illustrations has been upgraded to Version 8.0b, followed shortly by the release of Version 8.0c.  Several key enhancements include the Overflow Account Rate, Annual Accumulation Rate calculation, the original Single Deposit Test, New Solution Series rates and a report engine upgrade.

Along with the Sun Life team, illustrate inc delivered calculation changes to their Universal Life's minimum premiums as well as changes to the ratings.
